Sales engineer · builder · always moving

I build systems, solve problems, and keep moving.

I’m Joseph Hughes, a sales engineer and IT project leader who works at the intersection of technology, people, and execution. Outside of work, I’m an endurance athlete, running-club leader, community advocate, and occasional driveway mechanic.

One person, four lanes

The work and the why behind it.

The common denominator is straightforward: understand the real problem, bring people together, and keep working until the outcome holds up in the real world.

01 / TECHNOLOGY

From discovery to design

Infrastructure, cloud, security, and practical technical strategy translated into decisions people can actually make.

02 / PROJECTS

Complex work, clear execution

Planning and leading deployments where technology, timelines, vendors, and people all have to land together.

03 / RUNNING

Progress without the highlight reel

Half marathons, rough weather, imperfect training, ambitious targets, and the decision to keep showing up.

04 / IMPACT

Community matters

Running-club leadership and advocacy that turns personal experience into support for something larger.

Featured pursuit

13.1 miles. One bigger reason to keep moving.

I’m training for the Columbus Half Marathon while raising support for Nationwide Children’s Hospital Orthopedics through Break Limits, Not Bones. The goal is a faster finish and an impact that lasts beyond race day.

Off the clock

There’s more to the story.

Work is part of who I am, not the whole plot. There are early miles, running-club people, road trips, driveway projects that get more complicated than planned, and plenty of drone views coming soon.

This is where I share the progress, the lessons, and the occasional “well, that didn’t go according to plan.”
