Running & Impact

The miles count. So does what they move forward.

I’m a half-marathon runner chasing faster times and planning my first full marathon for 2027 or 2028. The path there is honest: ambitious goals, tough weather, imperfect runs, setbacks, progress, and the choice to keep showing up.

The running journey

No montage. Just the work.

Training for Columbus is in heavy progress, with weekly long runs building toward October 18. The target is ambitious but honest: 2:00 to 2:10.

Some runs click. Others happen in brutal humidity, on too little sleep, or after a week where life took the plan and folded it into a paper airplane. I’m learning to recover smarter, respect the conditions, and keep the big goal without turning every imperfect day into a crisis.

Forward does not have to look perfect. It just has to keep happening.

Break Limits,
Not Bones

I’m running the Columbus Half Marathon in support of Nationwide Children’s Hospital Orthopedics. The campaign supports pediatric orthopedics and carries a personal connection to Osteogenesis Imperfecta, a reminder that strength is bigger than bone.

Community leadership

Running is better when it belongs to everyone.

I serve the Northeast Running Club as IT Coordinator, Membership Coordinator, and Secretary. My work includes the club’s move to Microsoft 365, rebuilding nerc.run, membership operations, and Zeffy donations.

It is the behind-the-scenes work that helps runners find the club, join it, stay informed, and feel welcome when they show up.

Endurance file

Milestones, still in motion.

This timeline can grow with every race, lesson, and slightly questionable idea that becomes a finish line.

  1. October 19, 2025

    Columbus Half Marathon

2:24:30 in Columbus, Ohio. Terrible rain and storm conditions, but I pushed through and finished.

  2. May 24, 2026

    Buffalo Half

2:35:57 in Buffalo, New York. Cramps made for a rough finish, but I still had fun.

  3. October 18, 2026

    Columbus Half Marathon

In heavy training with weekly long runs and a target finish of 2:00 to 2:10.

  4. 2027 or 2028

    First full marathon

The 26.2-mile goal is active. The exact race is still to be decided.
